EMINENT DIET DOG STRUVITE
A very important part of the treatment of patients with struvite urolithiasis is the choice of the right food. Proper food helps to return the urine pH back to the optimal range and dissolve existing struvite stones. Because of reduced levels of minerals, there is minimal chance for the formation of new crystals.
These special requirements are met by the complete food EMINENT VETERINARY DIET DOG STRUVITE. One of the functional components of the food are cranberries, which contain proanthocyanidins. These substances have the ability to stop bacteria from sticking to the bladder walls and forming colonies, thus preventing bacterial infections of the entire excretory system.
Indications: pathological struvite urolithiasis and alkaline pH of the urine.
Urine pH
In the range of 5.5 to 6.2 dissolving of the existing struvite and preventing the formation of new crystals.
Increased sodium content
Stimulates water intake and thereby produces a larger volume of less concentrated urine.
Decreased level of Mg and P
Helps to prevent struvite stones formation.
ω-3 fatty acids
Increased content of ω-3 fatty acids - has an anti-infl ammatory effect.

rice, maize, dehydrated pork meat, chicken fat, maize germs, hydrolyzed animal protein, coconut oil, flaxseed, orthophosphoric acid, taurine, vegetable fiber, L-carnitine, glucosamine, chondroitin sulphate, MOS (mannanoligosaccharides), mixture of herbs and algae (Urtica dioica, Echinacea purpurea, Ascophyllum nodosum) 0.36 %, cranberry extract 0.01%, additives (vitamins, trace elements, amino acids).

It is optimal to divide the daily dose into 2-3 portions during the day.
Period and mode of administration: from the start of administration up to 6 months.
How the diet works:
- The diet adjusts the urine pH and maintains it in the range of 5.5 - 6.2
- At this pH value, existing struvite crystals are dissolved and the formation of new ones is prevented
- Reduced levels of phosphorus and magnesium, as the main constituents of struvite
- Higher content of ω-3 fatty acids has an anti-inflammatory effect
- Increased sodium content promotes diuresis
